On Friday, March 25th, CARH’s Spring Fling held at the Valley Springs Presbyterian Church in Roseville provided a fun and exciting evening for those we serve living in Sacramento County. The event was well received, and a nice diversion from the extended wet winter. The downpour of rain could not put a damper on our endeavor to have a great time. Although it was dreary outside, inside, the church hall was transformed into a springtime paradise. Table tops were draped with bright colorful table cloths with tulip and butterfly arrangements for centerpieces. In addition, each place setting had a pastel Dixie cup with a hidden Easter egg and/or stuffed bunny tucked inside as well as a fancy feathered butterfly pen. Over 200 guests attended the dinner dance and enjoyed our Live DJ, Steve Hansen, performances by the Guys and Dolls square dance group, dancing, crafts, raffle, and a delicious dinner catered by Cornerstone Restaurant of Sacramento, and dessert. With a spring in their step our guests quickly filled the dance floor with dancing feet. Steve played a variety of favorite tunes. When our guests weren’t dancing they found themselves at the craft tables making beautiful butterflies and flowers. Other highlights included a raffle of adorable stuffed animals and a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny and Chick. This event was a huge success. We would like to thank the wonderful and amazing team of Valley Springs Presbyterian Church volunteers for making
this a fun and memorable event.
