26th Annual Volunteer/Donor Appreciation Luncheon was a huge success, see the photos on Facebook!

26th Annual Volunteer/Donor Appreciation Luncheon was a huge success! Over 140 volunteers and donors attended the 50’s themed event to receive a Certificate of Appreciation, and small gift. They were also treated to live entertainment by Dance/10 Performers and a delicious buffet lunch. Master of Ceremonies, CARH’s Executive Director, Mary Gianopoulos, composed a lovely speech emphasizing how essential our volunteers and donors are to CARH. She could not stress enough how each contribution “Big or Small” makes a difference in the lives of those we serve. However, it was our Guest Speakers who could bring a tear to your eye. Sacramento Care Provider, Zenaida Pilar and her consumers, Fremont Parent, Marie Cates, and CARH Client and Employee, Terry Riddle, each took the podium to tell their own unique and heartfelt story of how CARH has enriched their lives. On display we had an archive of CARH pictures, showing CARH’s history and handmade gift items created by our faithful Santa Sew Volunteers. This event is a small token of our appreciation to honor those who share our mission. Without the dedication and support of our community, CARH could not exist. We applaud CARH founder Barbara Guidotti, CARH’s Board of Directors, and all of our wonderful volunteers and donors who bring hope to those living with intellectual disabilities.
