CARH’s 30th Annual Jingle Bell Balls

This December marked CARH’s 30th year of hosting Christmas

Luncheons throughout the East Bay and Sacramento. The

Oakland, Newark, Concord and Sacramento Hilton Hotels were

the sites for these much anticipated annual events. Again this

year’s Jingle Bell Balls were more amazing then ever. With each

hotel beautifully decorated in Holiday splendor a warm and

inviting Christmas atmosphere was created. These fun filled

events provided fine dining, a live DJ, dancing, Tap Dancing

Christmas Trees, raffle prizes, caroling, a special performance by

guitarist, Donald Shock and a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus bearing

an abundance of gifts. Over the years our services have become

increasingly more popular as the number of those we serve

continues to grow. It is during the Holidays that CARH’s programs

are often needed the most. As our Country faces an economic

recession, those living with disabilities are especially affected.

It is a joy for all of us at CARH to be able to spread Holiday cheer

to 1,630 individuals living with intellectual disabilities in over five

Counties. We would like to thank Santa and Mrs. Claus for

making their annual appearance and to everyone who had a par t

in making these events so special!!
