On August 24th, a fabulous brunch took place at the Michael Guidotti Center, in Castro
Valley, to honor CARH’s 120 Santa Sew volunteers. The event is just a small token of our
appreciation for the long hours these volunteers contribute to make a difference in the
lives of those we serve. With yarn and materials provided these remarkable volunteers
make the most beautiful gift items including, slippers, hats, blankets, scarves, purses,
pillows, dolls and more. In fact, some of our volunteers have received ribbons for
their work. We are privileged to have the support of so many terrific individuals.
The brunch is a great way to show our gratitude, yet also provides another purpose.
It is the perfect opportunity for these volunteers, who share the same passion, to meet,
share their work, and exchange ideas, and patterns. Although not all of our Santa Sew
volunteers could attend, we would like to give a heartfelt thank you to each and
everyone of you who knit, crochet, and sew the beautiful gift items that bring elation to
the thousands we serve during the holidays. Your support and dedication is essential
to CARH’s success and is well appreciated.
